An aspiring jack-of-all-trades, Harshit believes that curiosity never killed the cat. It probably waited too long for the feedback and gave up on the way. The reason was strong enough for Harshit to become a dog person and then enter the ad-mad world of client-agency relationships and creatively liberating work anyway.
It’s quite easy to spot him. He’s the typical creative-looking, dons a receding hairline, shorts, tattoos, and a brown notebook that keeps him closer to writing and scribbling. The notebook bit is quite interesting though. Piss him off by using a pen and not his .7mm mechanical pencil.
He started full-time back in the summer of 2015 in Delhi, writing for GQ and other lifestyle magazines. Weekends included attending fashion weeks but he wasn’t allowed to wear shorts which made him switch to a boutique design agency. Three years after designing for FMCG, Personal Care, QSR, and Liquor brands, his love for writing brought him to Mumbai.
What began as writing promos for OTT platforms soon turned into ideating full-fledged campaigns. He soon became a part of the first-ever mainline campaign by Schbang, bagging the account and successfully reviving it.
Harshit prefers ideating over a cup of chai and abides by his philosophy of ‘one smoke-break’ brainstorming for starters before he sits down to write or draw.
